Work Breakdown StructureWork Breakdown Structure (WBS) is a disciplined approach for identifying all the components of a project structure. Starting at the highest level, each item is broken into its constituent parts and these are numbered. Once a structure is decomposed to its lowest level, the costs, schedule and dependencies can be projected for each individual work unit. This allows a rigorous approach to estimating and tracking and most formal estimating metodologies depend on this process. |
